It is good to start your trip in Tallinn's Old Town from Viru Väljak, the centrum of Tallinn. It is next to Viru Hotel and Viru Centrum, it is a place which is easy to find since Viru Hotels high structure can be seen from many other parts of Tallinn. From Viru Väljak go the Viru Gates. It is the entrance to Old Town and to the Viru street, witch is the main shopping street in Tallinn. This street can be recognized by the flowers, handicraft kiosks, stores and open-air restaurants.
After the gates you have McDonald's on the left and a shopping center De La Gardie on the right. When you walk a little bit on, on the left you can see Olde Hansa restaurant, on the right there is a "Vene" street. Continue straight up and the turn right. You are now on the "Town Hall Square" (Raekoja Plats).
From the Town Hall Square you can find the oldest functioning pharmacy in the world. At Christmas, there is a high Christmas three and Chistmas markets. From the Town Hall Square, you can continue your trip to visit different churches, Toompea Hill or Fat Margaret's tower. Everything is near.

This is the city’s main tourist office. It is located in the city center. The helpful staff dispense information, as well as hand out maps and brochures. They can also arrange tours and accommodation.
